On our Vocational Swedish course you learn the Swedish you need to work in your chosen profession, or to allow you to go on to further studies in Sweden. Vocational Swedish is for people who have either not worked at all, or only worked a little in Sweden. Parts of the course can be carried out at a workplace alternated with theory lessons at Eductus.
About Vocational Swedish
Theory combined with practical experience
For example, you could spend time at a workplace to practice talking with Swedish colleagues and learn how the workplace functions. Theory lessons and lectures take place at Eductus. The theory is focused on the employment market and vocational Swedish.
Individual study plan
To achieve your goal as soon as possible, you and your teacher at Eductus start by drawing up an individual study plan together. The course can be carried out either full- or part-time. It lasts for about 10 weeks but may be shorter or longer.
Combine with vocational training
If you want to supplement your Vocational Swedish with vocational training, you can also do this with us. We offer basic courses in a number of different sectors, e.g. industry, warehousing/transport, service/retail and healthcare/schools/social care. You can also combine your course with an introductory job (instegsjobb) or SFI.
What does Vocational Swedish lead to?
The aim of the course is to help you get a job more quickly. To get a job in Sweden you usually need to have a good command of Swedish. Vocational Swedish is focused on Swedish in the workplace. You also learn about Swedish corporate culture.
Who is the course for?
If you are a jobseeker and registered with Arbetsförmedlingen (Public Employment Service) you can apply for this course via your case worker. The course is suitable for people who need to practice their Swedish in order to be able to work or study in Sweden. People who already have a professional qualification from their home country, or know what line of work they want to pursue in Sweden.
